Product Specifications for Estancia Knotty Alder Exterior Wood Doors

Doors built for the Estancia Exterior Door Series are included in our WoodCraft Knotty Alder and Mahogany Entry Doors color product catalog, and have the following specifications*: 1) Doors are constructed using real American Western Knotty Alder - not a tropical imitation wood specie. 2) Solid engineered wood construction in the stiles, rails and panels. Stiles of these Estancia Series doors use a engineered construction method which greatly reduces the possibility of warpage. 3) Estancia door panels are fully floating (not glued) for superior strength and longevity. Estancia Series doors utilize a solid 3-piece laminated panel to prevent separation, cracking and warping. 4) All stile and rail joints use full cove and bead construction (instead of butt-gluing), and incorporate multiple grooved dowel construction at each joint. The top rail and lock rails use 3 dowels per side, and the large bottom rail uses 4 dowels per side. 5) Estancia doors are available pre-hung in matching knotty alder components. This assures a beautiful match and consistent grain and stain pattern. 4 9 / 16 ˝ and 6 9 / 16 ˝ jamb widths are standard. 6) All 2-panel arch top rail door profiles may be cut into arch top door shapes. Matching arched door headers are available from stock. 7) Available Options: clavos, straps, v-grooving, prefinishing, pre-hanging, speakeasies, custom products.

Doors built for the True Divided Lite Series millwork program are included in the TDL section of our Mahogany and Knotty Alder Entry Doors catalog, and have the following specifications*:

1) Solid wood construction in the stiles and rails. Stiles of these TDL door series use a engineered construction method, which greatly reduces the possibility of warpage. 2) TDL door panels are fully floating (not glued) for superior strength and longevity. Panels are 3 layers thick for strength and to greatly reduce the possibility of splitting. 3) All stile and rail joints use full cove and bead construction (instead of butt-gluing), and incorporate multiple grooved dowel construction at each joint. The top rail and lock rails use 3 dowels per side, and the large bottom rail uses 4 dowels per side. 4) TDL doors are available pre-hung in matching mahogany or knotty alder components. This assures a beautiful match and consistent grain and stain pattern. 4 5 ⁄ 8 ˝ and 6 5 ⁄ 8 ˝ jamb widths are standard. Also available for mahogany units are matching TDL Transoms. All transoms include IG double thick beveled glass. 5) Glass panels in Estancia or DoorCraft TDL Doors are double glazed (IG). There are 8 glass options for TDL doors and sidelites. All glass is tempered for safety.
