Fiberglass Door Pre-hang – 6´ 8˝ Single Door Configurations (cont.)

Pre-hanging: We can pre-hang all 20 of the following entry configurations using our 2´ 8˝, 3´ 0˝ or 3´ 6˝ wide and 6´ 8˝ or 8´ 0˝ tall doors, sidelites, and transoms. Pre-hung units include jamb legs, header, sill, and weatherstripping, plus 3 hinges on 6´ 8˝ doors and 4 hinges on 8´ 0˝ doors, plus mull posts, T-astragal, and flush bolts where applicable. Standard pre-hang includes use of composite jamb, frame, and sash components. (Please refer to the Wood & Composite Component Product Guide for more specific information on the Composite Material used for these products). Pre-hung units may be ordered unfinished or prefinished to match your door. Please note that, for non-impact entryways with sidelites, we use fat boy mull posts between the door and sidelites instead of double jamb legs whenever possible. This allows for the use of a continuous sill below. All impact approved entryways with sidelights use a boxed-frame construction instead of mull posts. Impact Approved Pre-hung Fiberglass Door Units: These units have been tested and approved for use in specific wind-storm areas that may require impact certification. In addition to the above, these units include 3-point door hardware. Not all door profiles may be used in these Impact Approved units. See Fiberglass door catalog for detailed availability.

Fiberglass Door Pre-hung Rough Openings & Design Pressure Unit Information

The chart below lists rough opening dimensions, unit sizes, and “DP” Design Pressure ratings and Impact Approvals for all of our standard “inswing” entryway configurations for our Premium Fiberglass Doors. Most of these entryway configurations have been approved by state regulatory entities for use in windstorm areas. Note that the “rough opening size” listed below is a “tight” size, and is for reference only. Your installer may wish to add to these rough opening sizes. It is important to measure your pre-hung entryway unit upon arrival at the job site, and to construct the opening to fit the individual entryway unit. “Inswing” and “outswing” units are 7/8" undersized. In the chart below, “N/A” means that the product is not available OR the product configuration has not been tested for a DP Rating.
