Transom Frames & Sash - Wood & Composite - Pricing & Information
Transom Ordering Guidelines Following are guidelines which may be of assistance when ordering transoms (see drawings on pages 2-3): • Standard, in-stock Transoms are available in either Mahogany or Composite.
• Mahogany transoms incorporate a mahogany sash, into which the glass panel is glazed. Composite transoms do not use a sash, instead the glass is "direct-set" into the transom frame.
• Transoms with decorative leaded glass are available in two different IG metal came color options: 1) Satin Nickel, 2) Black. “IG” means double or triple-thick Insulated Glass. Be sure to specify which type of panel assembly is required.
• Each transom is available in varying widths, depending upon the door or door and sidelite configuration below the transom.
• Mahogany wood transoms with wrought iron grilles installed are available in two sizes: one which fits above a 36˝ door and two 14˝ sidelites, and the second which fits above two 36˝ doors. Composite transoms do not include a wrought iron option.
Composite Transom Frames These frames are manuactured using a "WPC" or wood-plastic-composite. This results in a no-rot, insect proof transom frame that is very strong. Frame can be painted or stained, and can be nailed or screwed. Sash is not available for these frames, the glass must be "direct set" into the frame. Transoms do not include casing or brick mold. Casing and brick mold sold separately.

Listed below is our selection of transom sashes and frames with the list pricing on pages 4-6. Our standard transom frames are for 4 5 ⁄ 8 ˝ and 6 5 ⁄ 8 ˝ applications.
To incorporate an elliptical or half round transom into an entryway, you need to order 1 transom frame, and 1 sash-set glass unit.
Our wood transoms are available in 3 profiles — rectangular, elliptical, and large half round. Composite transoms are available in three profiles–rectangular, elliptical and large half round. Each of these transom profiles are available in different widths, depending upon the entry configuration. Wood rectangular transom frames are not offered separately — only rectangular sash — as the glass is glazed into the sash and not the frame for wood transoms. Composite rectangular transom frames are offered, as the glass panel is glazed directly into the frame. Brick mold, sub-casing, and interior casing are sold separately.
