Accessing The Catalog

To quickly and easily find additional information for individual doors in this catalog, such as pricing and door options, scan the QR Code at the bottom of each page with your phone or tablet. Once you have accessed the catalog online, you may click on any individual door image which will take you to that specific door in our new DoorCrafter design tool.

Step 1

Scan the QR Code at the bottom of the catalog page with your Mobile device. The online version of that page pops up. Step 2 Click on the + sign on the door of your choice. Step 3 Build a door to your exact specifications by choosing from available options with up-to-date pricing.

Once you are in the DoorCrafter design tool, you can “build” the door you chose your way, to your exact specifications.

Here you have access to the most up-to-date list pricing, as well as the ability to choose all of the available options (such as size and color, prehang information, etc.) through drop down menus for that specific door. The price will change accordingly, depending on which options are chosen and if there is an additional cost associated with the option. Estancia ® Knotty Alder Series

The Knotty Alder Estancia ® Series offers a beautiful rustic look and a wide array of finish options. We use real Knotty Alder sustainable hardwood from the American Pacific Northwest (and not a tropical imitation wood). This is a light colored hardwood with mineral streaks and surface knots, and it features a rustic finish when stained and sealed. These doors are offered in 1-3/4” thickness, 2 heights (80” and 96”), and 3 widths (32”, 36”, 42”). See pages 4-9 for factory finish options. Portobello ® Mahogany Series

The Mahogany Portobello ® Series offers our widest selection of hardwood doors, sidelites and transoms, our best wood-door warranty, and they feature our unique engineered-core technology. Most Portobello doors feature wide raised moulding and thick raised panels. Mahogany is a red-brown hardwood that will vary from rich golden to deep red-brown colors and has a beautiful finish when stained and sealed. These doors are offered in 1-3/4” thickness, 2 heights (80” and 96”), and 3 widths (32”, 36”, and 42”). See pages 4-9 for factory finish options. The Mahogany DoorCraft ® Series provides a broad and economical selection of doors including wrought iron, decorative glass, SDL, and solid panel options, plus many TDL or true-divided- lite doors in a wide array of finish options. DURALAST ™ Wood Finishing Advantage

GlassCraft has developed an innovative and environmentally sound factory finish option for your door and complete entryway. DuraLast, our exclusive 10-step finishing system applies beautifully colored wood stains while adding multiple protective layers of crystal clear urethane finish coats to your wood door. Each coat is impregnated with ultraviolet UV-inhibitors and additional moisture blocking technology to keep your door looking beautiful. This system produces a finish to complement the inherent beauty of the Mahogany and Knotty Alder wood species. The DuraLast process involves the deep penetration of tinted solution into the deep layers of each wood cell to prevent water or moisture absorption. The wood door is also processed through a laser-controlled convection-oven cure not just once, but three times to ensure the perfect wood surface curing. GlassCraft Door Company’s finish department is certified by the TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality). The TCEQ‘s mission is to protect human and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development, with a goal of clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste. Distressed Finish Our Distressed finish provides that special antique patina with distinctive distressed markings and patterns that enhances the aged beauty of wood. This finish is made with a 12-step process that adds a textured surface such as faux indentations, pits, cracks, scores, and wormholes. See page 7 for all Distressed finish options.

Palette Collection

Color Name & Description:

Nine trending colors are offered in GlassCraft’s Palette Collection of paint colors for our WoodCraft doors. Each year, paint companies and color experts reveal their picks for the shade that best encapsulates current trends. Their choices for color of the year often draw on trends in pop culture, fashion, technology, and design from around the world. The nine colors in our Palette Collection are all top trending colors for exterior use for exterior doors. GlassCraft’s exterior door paint is a protective monochromatic coating specifically formulated for use on exterior surfaces. A single-component, water-borne, acrylic, adhesion-promoting coating. Formulated for direct application and exterior use, this coating has outstanding adhesion and eliminates the need for a primer coat.

Arcade White ... think of a cup of milk with a dash of coffee, creating an inviting and warm door or entryway.

Shoji White is a warm white, with greige (beige and gray) undertones. It has a nice creaminess to it, but its greige undertones keep it from looking too yellow. It won’t end up looking cold on a door even if it’s facing north or east. Habanero Chile ... is a true red-orange with depth and vibrancy to set glam in the entryway space. This striking color is warm, energetic, and high impact. A fantastic, dramatic color for a front door.

Grey Clouds is a neutral, midtone grey that may tend to the warmer side.

Gale Force is a darker, neutral, emerald aqua-green with a hint of blue undertone. Perfect for a door with some drama.

Rookwood Terra Cotta is a warm pastel red-orange which offers an old, earthy feel for a unique focal point.

Urbane Bronze is a deep taupe color... essentially a dark brown with an added grey aspect, which gives it a green undertone in bright lighting. It’s earthy core gives off a comforting warmth. Perle Noir is a rich charcoal color, and is a good paint choice if you are looking to add drama to your door with some sophistication. Tricorn Black has no discernible undertones and is a truly neutral paint color. If you’re looking for a true black, go with Tricorn Black.

Pre-hung Entryways with Continuous Sill

Pre-hung Option All doors in this catalog may be ordered as pre-hung door units. Part numbers & images for pre-hung door options are available in our on-line catalog – refer to page 2 for info on how to access this information. All entryway configurations available for hardwood doors include “continuous” one- piece sills. This means that the bottom sill or threshold is made from one continuous piece of threshold material, which adds strength and prevents leaking under the entryway. This assembly design is especially important in configurations that include 1 or 2 sidelites. Other manufacturers may produce this entry configuration using a “boxed” construction method with separate sills for each sidelite. GlassCraft uses a one-piece sill construction method for reinforced strength and enhanced appearance.

Doors shown at left are Portobello Mahogany 3’0” x 8’0” double doors with Flemish privacy glass. See page 34.

DOOR FRAME AND HINGE OPTIONS

Hardwood Door Frames with STRIKEJAMB ™

Mahogany and Knotty Alder pre-hung doors are available with a steel-reinforcement StrikeJamb™ as an option.

Pre-hung units include jamb legs, T-astragal (for double doors), standard sill, header, weatherstripping, and adjustable threshold, plus 3 ball-bearing hinges on 6’-8” tall doors and 4 ball-bearing hinges on 8’-0” tall doors. The StrikeJamb™ reinforcement can be installed on the lock side jamb leg for safety and secu- rity. This plate reinforces the jamb leg, and allows the deadbolt and the handleset bolt to throw so that the bolts extend through the corresponding holes in the steel reinforcement plates. In addition, long mounting screws should be used with this StrikeJamb, these screws ex- tending through the jamb leg, then through the steel plate, and finally into the wall studs.

Hinge Color Options

All pre-hung units use 3 ball-bearing hinges on 6’8” tall doors and 4 hinges on 8’0” tall doors. 1-3/4” thick doors use 4” hinges. Choose from the three hinge color options shown at left for your pre-hung entry door unit: Bronze, Satin Nickel, or Flat Black.

Construction Door Options

All standard pre-hung entryways in all configurations are available with a temporary “construction door” as an option. Using this temporary door, the permanent door will not be damaged during house construction. Construction doors are available for double-door and arch top and round top double doors also.

JAMB LEG & SILL OPTIONS

Jamb Leg and Mull Post Rot Protection Included

GlassCraft entryways utilize our unique protective threshold end caps, which are hard rigid plastic parts machined to perfectly match the profile on the bottom edge of a jamb leg. We also use mull post caps at the bottom of all mull posts which are positioned between doors and sidelites. This method of assembly inhibits the hardwood jamb legs and mull posts from rotting over time due to the absorption of water up from the bottom edge of the entryway.

Sill and Sill Color Options

All standard pre-hung exterior door units use adjustable composite sills that help prevent water penetration, rotting, warping, and discoloration. Our standard adjustable composite sill includes a peel-off protection film which protects the sill during the house construction, and is made from 100% composite and aluminum materials. The “adjustable” feature allows the top of the sill to be adjusted with a screwdriver to match the correct height required for the bottom of the door. Optionally, you may select the Endura ® brand adjustable composite threshold or an ADA threshold. The ADA threshold is approved for use with wheelchairs. ADA sills are 5” x 1/2” or 7” x 1/2”. The Endura Z-Series Sill System (for an extra charge) provides a walnut colored sill cap, the adjustable feature, and a hard plastic protective construction cover.

3 OPTIONS FOR MULTIPOINT DOOR HARDWARE

Multipoint Locks Offer Strength and Security Three different multipoint lock solutions are available for all GlassCraft FiberCraft doors. Multipoint locks offer additional security by including three locking bolts instead of just one. The 3 different solutions are: #1 PANOLOCK PLUS MULTIPOINT The first and only multipoint lock that works with off-the-shelf hardware! Use your own handle set choice! PanoLock is a one-of-a-kind multipoint lock that works with off-the-shelf hardware including electronic locks, supports a forgiving installation, and offers lasting performance, all at an affordable price point. GlassCraft will machine the door and jamb, and will install the PanoLock+ hardware – then you install your choice of door handle set hardware. #2 BUFFALO FORGE / PANOLOCK PLUS MULTIPOINT (Pages 21-24) All Buffalo Forge ® handlesets are available with the PanoLock multipoint upgrade. Hand forged bronze and brass quality with multipoint security and all at a great price! #3 ROCKWELL MULTIPOINT (Pages 25-27) The Rockwell multipoint is our most economical. This multipoint system is activated with the turning of the dead-bolt lock. All 3 locking points are engaged only when the dead bolt point is locked by turning the thumb latch. PanoLock Plus Multipoint Hardware PanoLock is a unique multipoint door hardware system that is compatible with most off-the-shelf door hardware. PanoLock’s three lock- ing points activate with a simple turn of the key or thumb lever for the dead bolt. Home builders have asked for a simple and affordable multipoint locking system that can be used with their standard hardware such as Schlage or Baldwin. Simply use the correct lock insert (all are provided) and then mount your handle set hardware. Compatible brands include: Buffalo Forge, Endura, Schlage, Kwikset, Gatehouse, Baldwin, Brinks, Masterlock and Defiant. No dedicated hardware required. PanoLock is produced by Endura.

Single Operation System Most multipoint locks operate separately, requiring extra steps to lock the door. PanoLock Plus delivers a single operation system by integrating the handleset with the multipoint system using the innovative latch and deadbolt adapters. Simply match the correct adapter to your hardware. The lower operation force and rollers within the plates engage with the bolts to make locking and unlocking your door easy, even after years of use. Unlike other locks that catch easily, PanoLock’s tapered bolts deliver a smooth operation even if the door is out of alignment.

The PanoLock Plus is now compatible with a wide variety of standard hardware, in- cluding electronic deadbolts. Use of multi- point locks has been limited due to high cost, difficult installation and operation, and the limitations of dedicated handleset hardware required for each lock offering. GlassCraft provides the PanoLock installed into the door and pre-hung jamb unit. You provide and install your selected Entry Set into the PanoLock. Single door installation includes the PanoLock plus the installed strike plate and reinforcing roller plates. Further, PanoLock’s adjustable reinforcing Adjustable Roller Plates also include a space for anchor screws for enhanced security. • Affordability: PanoLock is offered at a more affordable price point vs other multipoint locks – and not just the lock itself. These are large lock sets with long escutcheon trim plates, providing a very heavy, strong, secure feel. Excellent design and style are evident in several models available for different door designs. This hardware has the look and feel of hardware costing three times the price. All use a standard Y1 Keyway. Two keys are provided. 2-3/8” backset. All of the lock sets shown on the following two pages are available with standard 2-point models (latch and deadbolt), or with a multipoint deadbolt. All lock sets are available with matching “dummy” lock sets, which are used for double-door installations. These dummy lock sets do not have any internal mechanism, no key hole, and no thumb latch and are mounted on the “inactive” door, with two-point or multipoint lock sets used on the “active” door. Single or Multipoint Lock Sets Add Security - Forged Brass Handle Set & Lock Options

These lock sets are produced by the traditional drop-forged process utilizing solid brass, and featuring heavy gauge construction, a precision engineered mechanism, and superior corrosion protection. All use a standard 5 pin SC1 Keyway. Wide bow keys are provided. 2-3/8” backset only. All of the lock sets shown on the next two pages are compatible with the multipoint lock systems shown below. In addition, the Windsor, Savoy, and San Jose are also available as “one-point” traditional lock sets for both 6’8” and 8’0” tall doors. And all lock sets are available as “dummy” lock sets, which are used for double-door installations. These dummy lock sets do not have any internal mechanisms and are mounted on the “inactive” door, with one-point or multipoint lock sets used on the “active” door. The Sapphire multipoint and dummy lock sets are also available with a special “PVD”coating on the handle set and stainless steel for the multipoint mechanism for use in coastal installation applications. These are noted as “Coastal” in the item descriptions. This PVD Physical Vapor Deposition coating is harder, more resistant to corrosion and abrasion, and provides a longer-lasting coating when used in coastal areas.

Rockwell Multipoint Option Increase security and peace of mind with Rockwell’s multipoint lock option with deadlocking tongues built to work with traditional grip hardware. Choose from any of the multipoint handle set trim options shown on the next 2 pages. This multipoint system is activated with the turning of the deadbolt lock. All 3 locking points are engaged only when the deadbolt point is locked by turning the thumb latch. This multipoint lock set includes an anti-saw and kick-proof center deadbolt for maximum security and a 90-degree consumer friendly locking operation, so you visually know the door is locked when the deadbolt knob is in the horizontal position. In addition, these multipoint assemblies are produced using heavy-gauge steel with a zinc dichromate finish per ATSM-8633 testing standard. Stainless steel models are available for both 6’8” and 8’0” sizes for coastal installation. Multipoint lock systems use our standard flush bolts installed on the passive door of a pre-hung double door, which gives the homeowner the option to include dummy handle sets on the passive door with all multipoint lock sets. Precision-engineered components reduce the need for service calls, providing years of trouble-free service. These multipoint assemblies have been cycle- tested to exceed 300,000 locking cycles. Adjustable strike plates allow for field adjustment during and after installation. The design of these multipoint systems allows for right hand or left hand installation with the same part. GlassCraft provides installation of the 3-point lock mechanism into the door, and installation charges are included in the cost of these lock sets. Installation involves precision machining of the edge of the door slab, which is performed with CNC machines to ensure precision. When ordering for double doors, only 1 multipoint lock set is required. You may choose to include a “dummy” handle set on the inactive door for appearance purposes.

Windstorm Approvals for Pre-hung Doors

Most of GlassCraft’s premium Mahogany and Knotty Alder entryways have been evaluated for compliance and are approved for installation in designated catastrophe areas along coastal zones when installed as required and as specified. Both 6’8” tall and 8’0” tall entryways have been assigned Design Pressure “DP” ratings for a variety of entryway configurations, including single doors, double doors, single doors with 1 or 2 sidelites, and entryways with all transom configurations. Both Speakeasy doors and doors with glass have been approved with in-swing and out-swing configurations. These wood doors are not approved for hurricane impact, however many of our FiberCraft Premium Series and Value Series doors ARE approved for Impact installations. You should inquire with your local building authorities to ascertain the required DP rating for your area. Then visit www.glasscraft.com/testing.asp to determine which doors are available for you.

Warranty for WoodCraft Entry Doors

The exposure to environmental conditions is a dominant factor in the lifespan of a wood door. Not all applications are appropriate for wood doors; wood doors require protection from environmental conditions and must be installed in a protected opening with adequate roof overhang. The minimum roof overhang needed is one in which the roof overhang projects out a distance from the structure no less than one-half of the elevation difference between the bottom edge of the door and the base of the overhang’s highest point above the entryway. Solid Panel & Plank Doors

The Solid Panel and Plank Mahogany and Knotty Alder series of doors, sidelites and transoms provide an impressive range of options and finishes.

Doors feature laminated, engineered stiles and rails to virtually eliminate warping. DoorCraft Series, Portobello Series and Estancia Series panels are constructed using a 5-piece assembly that incorporates a cross-grained, multi-layer spline to eliminate panel splitting. Doors are assembled using an authentic doweled cove-and-bead technique.

Use the decorative door straps for installation onto the face of a door to give it a rustic or antique look. Door straps can be mounted on the interior, the exterior or both sides. Straps may be used with or without the clavos shown on page 10. These door straps are hand-crafted and therefore vary slightly. Iron straps include handmade mounting nails. Iron straps, clavos and speakeasy grilles may be packaged separately and uninstalled on all unfinished GlassCraft door products so the door may be finished before the iron straps, clavos and speakeasy grilles are installed.

Some Estancia Knotty Alder and Portobello Mahogany door panels may be V-grooved to give the look of a rustic door. V-grooving gives a “plank” appearance to the door panel. The quantity of V-grooves varies with the width of the specific door.
