SDL Door Construction

The Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) doors in this section are constructed with inter- locking muntin bars that lock into place for a stronger, more structurally sound assembly. Using advanced technology, the SDL assembly features precision-cut bars that fit seamlessly together for improved performance and appearance. Divided Lite muntin bars give the look and feel of historic and traditional divided lite doors, but with improved performance and energy efficiency. Divided Lite grilles create the illusion of True Divided Lite “TDL” doors by placing real wood muntin bars on the interior and exterior of one double insulated glass panel. Muntin bars are permanently fixed to the glass surface with special tape are secured with pin fasteners to the glass frames at all points of contact. This allows for superior energy efficiency over TDL doors.

Bungalow Doors - Door Pegs

The Bungalow Doors found in this section include simulated door pegs as a standard feature. These door pegs offer an authentic appearance to this traditional door style. While the pegs are included with our doors, you may request that they be constructed without the door pegs.

Dentil Shelf Option

An option for Craftsman and Bungalow doors is the matching wood dentil shelf. For that true Craftsman look and architectural style, add this dentil shelf to your door for that extra bit of curb appeal. The dentil shelf is installed just under the top glass panel of the door and designed to add character.
