INVISIBLE HARDWARE INSTRUCTIONS
1. DETERMINING THE TYPE OF INSTALLATION
The width of the door can be determined by what type of installation is wanted/required. 1. The edge installation maintains access to the full width of the opening in the wall, as the sliding door opens to expose entire wall opening width. 2. The overhang installation causes the door to not open completely but allows for easy access to a pull handle from the back side of the door. 2. DETERMINING WIDTH OF DOOR REQUIRED
(A) For the edge mount installation , the trolley is mounted on the wall above the opening in line with the edge of the wall opening. To determine the minimum width of the door required for the edge mount installation, measure the width of the wall opening and add 9” .
(A) EDGE INSTALLATION DOOR IN OPEN POSITION
DOOR WIDTH
TROLLEY
Door Width = Width of Door Opening + 9” EXAMPLE. Door opening is 30” so door width is 39”
DOOR
Note: For this installation type, when door is in closed position there will be a 6-1/2” (static) overlap of the door on the trolley side and a 2-1/2” overlap on the opposite or handle side. If casing (decorative molding around the opening) is present the width of the door can be increased to fully cover the casing.
DOOR HEIGHT
DOOR OPENING HEIGHT
SPACE BETWEEN THE DOOR & FLOOR
WALL OPENING WIDTH
(B) For the overhang installation, the trolley is mounted on the wall centered over the edge of the wall opening. To determine the minimum width of the door required for the overhang installation, measure the width of the opening and add 7”.
(B) OVERHANG INSTALLATION DOOR IN OPEN POSITION
DOOR WIDTH
TROLLEY
Door Width = Width of Door Opening + 7” EXAMPLE. Door opening is 30” so door width is 37”
DOOR OPENING HEIGHT
Note: For this installation type, when door is in closed position, there will be a 3-1/4” (static) overlap of the door on the trolley side and a 3-3/4” overlap on the handle side. If casing (decorative molding around the opening) is present, the width of the door can be increased to fully cover it.
DOOR
DOOR HEIGHT
DOOR OPENING WIDTH
OVERLAP
SPACE BETWEEN THE DOOR & FLOOR
WALL OPENING WIDTH
Note: The width of the door will need to be verified in both open and closed positions with any adjoining walls for clearance. This will also include any trim or molding that may be present.
3. DETERMINING HEIGHT OF DOOR
To determine the minimum height of the door, measure the height of the wall opening and add 3”. If decorative casing is present, measure from the floor to the top edge of the casing and add 3”.
Note : For trolley adjustment, recommend at least 3” space between total height of the door and the ceiling.
CEILING
IF NO CASING add 3” from top of opening
IF CASING ADD 3” from top of casing
RECOMMEND AT LEAST 3” SPACE BETWEEN TOP OF THE DOOR AND CEILING.
CASING
Door Height = Height of Opening or Casing + 3”

4. INSTALLING THE TRACK AT TOP OF DOOR
Track Position: The track should be positioned on the back side of the door flush with the top edge. The track is 1-1/4” thick. If the track is mounted directly to the back side surface of the door (and not recessed into the door - see 2 options below), then when installed, there will be a 1-1/4” space between the back surface of the door and the surface of the wall. This space will allow for most common thicknesses of interior trim and casing. (If your trim / molding / casing is THICKER (protruding) more than 1-1/4” from the surface of the wall, then you will need to mount a spacer between the track and the door face to allow for this thicker molding).
STANDARD TRACK INSTALLATION
HEIGHT OF TRACK 2 3/8”
1 1/4” SPACE
*NOTE: IF PURCHASED YOUR DOOR THROUGH GLASSCRAFT, THE TRACK WILL BE MOUNTED ONTO DOOR FLUSH WITH THE TOP EDGE.
3/8” SPACE BETWEEN DOOR & FLOOR
If desired, the track can be machined into the back surface of the door. Only up to a depth that leaves a minimum door thickness of 13/16”.

*Note: The track mounts with 3/4” flat head screws. Pre-drilled holes for the mounting screws is required.
Track Width: The correct width of the track should equal the door width minus 1/4”. If the track needs to be cut, measure the width of the door, and subtract 1/4”. This 1/4” allows for the two 1/8” end caps for the track, one at each end. Burrs resulting from cutting the metal track should be removed from the track prior to installation onto the door.

181 After the track is installed, the soft stop hardware and wall rollers can be slid into the track. With the provided Allen wrench loosen the set screws on the soft stop hardware, and fit into place at ends of track. The soft stop hardware is not handed and will need to be positioned accordingly. The track will not engage if not oriented correctly. 132 11 6
The wall rollers will then need to be slid into the track, one at each end. The set screw will need to be loosened and the rolls will only engage the track in the correct side and orientation. The wall rollers and soft stop hardware should still be loose but fit into the slot of the track. 134 11 9
The two end caps can now be installed at both ends. The end caps will fit on either end of the track. Notice on the back side of the end cap a sleeve at the bottom and two circles at the top. The sleeve slides down over the tooth on the base of the roll and one of the circles fits into the top radius edge of the track. Once in place, the rolls can be tightened using the Allen wrench. Next, slide the soft stop hardware against the roll and tighten using the Allen wrench. 11 10

8. INSTALLING TROLLEY ON THE WALL
Locate the position on the wall where trolley is to be located. Verify if internal blocking is present in this location. If not, then depending on wall material use appropriate wall anchors suitable for the weight of the door. Additional anchors may be required for this process and will have to be sourced locally. Using the height of the door add the 3/8” for the floor space allowance, this is the total height dimension. Then subtract 1-1/16” from the total height dimension. This measurement is to the bottom of the trolley. From the floor mark this dimension on the wall and use a level to draw a level line. For the edge application, follow the edge of the opening and add 1/8” this is the edge of the trolley. This 1/8” space allows for the thickness of the end cap on the track. Now the bottom and the edge of the trolley are located. Position the trolley on the wall and mark the four slotted anchor holes. Install the appropriate anchors and install the roller hardware on the wall.
