INVISIBLE HARDWARE INSTRUCTIONS

1. DETERMINING THE TYPE OF INSTALLATION

The width of the door can be determined by what type of installation is wanted/required. 1. The edge installation maintains access to the full width of the opening in the wall, as the sliding door opens to expose entire wall opening width. 2. The overhang installation causes the door to not open completely but allows for easy access to a pull handle from the back side of the door. 2. DETERMINING WIDTH OF DOOR REQUIRED

(A) For the edge mount installation , the trolley is mounted on the wall above the opening in line with the edge of the wall opening. To determine the minimum width of the door required for the edge mount installation, measure the width of the wall opening and add 9” .

(A) EDGE INSTALLATION DOOR IN OPEN POSITION

DOOR WIDTH

TROLLEY

Door Width = Width of Door Opening + 9” EXAMPLE. Door opening is 30” so door width is 39”

DOOR

Note: For this installation type, when door is in closed position there will be a 6-1/2” (static) overlap of the door on the trolley side and a 2-1/2” overlap on the opposite or handle side. If casing (decorative molding around the opening) is present the width of the door can be increased to fully cover the casing.

DOOR HEIGHT

DOOR OPENING HEIGHT

SPACE BETWEEN THE DOOR & FLOOR

WALL OPENING WIDTH

(B) For the overhang installation, the trolley is mounted on the wall centered over the edge of the wall opening. To determine the minimum width of the door required for the overhang installation, measure the width of the opening and add 7”.

(B) OVERHANG INSTALLATION DOOR IN OPEN POSITION

DOOR WIDTH

TROLLEY

Door Width = Width of Door Opening + 7” EXAMPLE. Door opening is 30” so door width is 37”

DOOR OPENING HEIGHT

Note: For this installation type, when door is in closed position, there will be a 3-1/4” (static) overlap of the door on the trolley side and a 3-3/4” overlap on the handle side. If casing (decorative molding around the opening) is present, the width of the door can be increased to fully cover it.

WALL OPENING WIDTH

Note: The width of the door will need to be verified in both open and closed positions with any adjoining walls for clearance. This will also include any trim or molding that may be present.

3. DETERMINING HEIGHT OF DOOR

To determine the minimum height of the door, measure the height of the wall opening and add 3”. If decorative casing is present, measure from the floor to the top edge of the casing and add 3”.

Note : For trolley adjustment, recommend at least 3” space between total height of the door and the ceiling.

CEILING

IF NO CASING add 3” from top of opening

IF CASING ADD 3” from top of casing

RECOMMEND AT LEAST 3” SPACE BETWEEN TOP OF THE DOOR AND CEILING.

CASING

Door Height = Height of Opening or Casing + 3”
