5. Installing the Frame - 1. With two people, stand the metal frame upright and place it into the existing jamb opening. 2. Push the metal frame firmly against the existing door stop. 3. Starting on the hinge side, predrill screw holes and fasten the metal frame to the existing jamb. 4. Shim as necessary. 5. Ensure the hinge side is plumb and level before continuing.

The GlassCraft Modern Steel Interior Door is engineered for fast, hassle-free replace- ment of an existing 2’6” or 2’8” interior door—no demolition required. Simply remove your existing door slab and hinges while leaving the original door frame in place. The Modern Steel Door arrives fully assembled and ready to install. Insert the plastic jamb leg plugs into the bottom of each jamb leg and trim as needed to achieve the exact height for your opening. Once adjusted, stand the frame upright and slide it into the existing door frame. A. Insert door frame into the jamb and pre-drill holes.
B. Attach door frame to hinge- side of the Door Jamb.
6. Installing the Door - 1. With two people, reinstall the metal door onto the half-barrel hinges. 2. Verify the door swings freely and that all hinges are properly engaged. Secure the steel frame with the supplied fasteners, then hang the door on the pre-installed pin hinges. That’s it— a sleek, modern steel door installed quickly and easily.
