Once the unit is properly installed, trim excess shims using a utility knife so they sit below the face of the metal frame. 2. Wipe down the metal frame with a clean, damp cloth to remove dust or debris. 3. Mild household cleaners may be used to remove grease or oil. 4. Cover Strip Installation. 5. Cut the supplied cover strips to length for the top and both sides using scissors. 6. Remove the backing from the double-stick tape. 7. The GlassCraft Modern Steel Interior Door is engineered for fast, hassle-free replace- ment of an existing 2’6” or 2’8” interior door—no demolition required. Simply remove your existing door slab and hinges while leaving the original door frame in place. The Modern Steel Door arrives fully assembled and ready to install. Insert the plastic jamb leg plugs into the bottom of each jamb leg and trim as needed to achieve the exact height for your opening. Once adjusted, stand the frame upright and slide it into the existing door frame. A. Cut-To-Size and apply the cover strips to the door jamb. Secure the steel frame with the supplied fasteners, then hang the door on the pre-installed pin hinges. That’s it— a sleek, modern steel door installed quickly and easily.
